EUCHARISTIC ADORATION:    Our Monthly Eucharistic Adoration this Sunday 5th February 4.00 p.m. – 6.45 p.m.  “The Eucharist is our  priceless treasure” John Paul 11.

 

HEALING MASS:

The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick will take place during 12.00 o’clock Mass on SUNDAY 12TH FEBRUARY.   Please be aware of an elderly or infirm neighbour who may require a lift to the church.

 

ACCORD:

The Annual Collection for ACCORD, The Diocesan Agency for Marriage and the Family, will be taken up at all Masses next weekend 11th/12 February.   This Collection will replace the usual SHARE COLLECTION.    ACCORD Dublin throughout the diocese offers: Marriage Preparation Courses:  Counselling for couples and individuals experiencing difficulties in their relationships: Marital Sexual Therapy : A Relationship and Sexuality Programme in Schools.    ACCORD  needs your support.   Please give generously next weekend.

 

CANON JOHN PATRICK BATTELLE P.P. BALLINTEER R.I.P.

Canon Battelle who served in Ballinteer Parish as P.P. from 2nd June 1992 to 6th July 2006 and continued to serve in Ballinteer until his recent illness in hospital.  He also served in Drumcondra, Arklow, Pro Cathedral, Cabinteely, Jobstown and Springfield in Tallaght.    We wish his family, classmates, Fr. Richard Behan P.P. of Ballinteer and Parish Community comfort in their loss.   Many of our Marley parishioners down the years met him on his many Pilgrimages to Holy Land, Padre Pio and other places.

 

FRANCES OF CAMBODIA:

It was great to gather at last Sunday’s 12 o’clock Mass and refreshments and music after to say a public  “Goodbye” to Frances Murphy who heads off this Thursday 8th February to Cambodia with VSO (Voluntary Services Overseas).   We wish you our loving support Frances and Aidan and family as we say  “Bye for now – God Bless”

 

CAKE SALE SUNDAY 12TH FEB.  Parish  Parlour   - 4 local transition year students are fund raising for a St. John of God project in Malawi.   This project is to help people with mental illness build their own homes.   Please support our cake sale and join us for a tea/coffee in the Parish Centre after morning masses on Sunday 12th Feb.   A special welcome to all the children preparing for First Holy Communion.

RACE NIGHT FUNDRAISER IN ST. JOHNS GAA CLUB

THURSDAY 16TH FEBRUARY AT 8.30 P.M.

CHURCH GROUNDS MAINTENANCE:

Volunteers needed to help with the on-going maintenance of the Church Grounds.   Parishioners who may have time on their hands and would like to help with keeping the grounds tidy.   Contact Anna at 087 284 2619.
