Curam Group

Curam Group

Curam being the Irish word for care gives us an initial insight into what this group stands for.

Who are we:

A group of volunteers from within the parish who clean and care for the church on a regular basis. Taking great care to ensure that it looks it best at all times but particularly on those extra special occasions such as Communion, Confirmation, Christmas, Easter and other holy dates.

Our Mission Statement:

To keep and maintain the order and cleanliness of the church at all times and where humanly possible.

How Do We Operate and What Do We Do:

The cleaning of the Church is an ongoing job, especially for special occasions. However Thursday would be the main day when we come together to do our various tasks.

Included in the many duties we carry out are cleaning and washing the floors, maintaining the brass candlesticks, watering plants and dusting and cleaning all the areas in the church.

We are Maria D'Arcy, Marie McCann,  Gertie Foley, Pearse Foley, Margaret Rose Fleming and Kay Halligan and are always delighted to welcome new members.

Please contact the Parish office if you have some time to spare and wish to join the Curam group.
