Prayer Group

Frequency of meetings:

We meet every Tuesday Night at 8.00pm in the Founders Room

Committee:

Bernadette Burns, Phil Clarke, Phil O'Neill, Maureen Kelly, Dympna Melia, Tom Hefferon and Tony Bardon

Purpose

To create a space where members of our Parish and beyond can come to a deeper appreciation of the spiritual dimension of their lives leading to a closer personal relationship with God

We seek to achieve this through Prayer, Reflection, Music, Meditation, Bible Study, Intercession, Lectio Divina, Talks, Eucharist, Witness and Fellowship

Monthly Programme

The following is a typical monthly programme

            First Tuesday                Prayer Praise and Meditation

            Second Tuesday           Mass

            Third Tuesday              Lectio Divina

            Fourth Tuesday            Adventures in Spirituality (Talk by guest speaker)

During 2008 members of the Prayer Group were involved in the running of two Alpha Courses and establishing a monthly series of talks entitled "Adventures in Spirituality."

Invitation for New Members

We are always seeking to attract new members. All of the prayer group meetings are open and visitors are welcome to come and see what we are about.
