Sacraments

“You come in Word and in Sacrament to strengthen us in holiness”

The whole liturgical life of the Catholic Church revolves around the Eucharistic sacrifice and the sacraments. There are seven sacraments in the Church: Anointing of the Sick, Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Holy Orders,  Matrimony and Penance. (Catechism of the Catholic Church 1113)

A Sacrament is an outward sign of inward grace, ordained by Jesus Christ, by which grace is given to our souls. (CTS Catechism of Christian Doctrine 249)
